Here are some things to look for –

1.  Overlamping.  This is when a fixture has a higher wattage bulb than it should.

2.  Fuse boxes with higher amperage than the wires can handle.

3.  Uncovered junction boxes.

4.  You notice flickering lights during higher winds.

5.  Too many extension cords and power strips.
