Fish Swim, Airplanes Fly, and Boilers Boil…Right?

No, that’s not the case!  Boilers in operation today do not boil water.  The term “boiler” is an old carryover reference from the past when steam boilers were common.  They boiled water to make steam.  Today’s boilers are water heaters that typically use natural gas.  Most of them can heat water in a range just under 200 degrees at the top end.

What are a few things you should know about your boiler system?

1.  Is your boiler standard-efficiency or high-efficiency?
2.  What kind of radiation does it have?
3.  Who maintains your home’s boiler?

That last one is easy.  If you live in Belen, NM or the greater Albuquerque area the answer should be Daylight Electric and Appliance.  They service and repair boilers and other types of heating systems throughout Central New Mexico.  Trust Daylight Electric and Appliance with the care and maintenance of your boiler by calling (505) 864-3980.
