Mobile Homeowners…You May be Shocked at This.

Literally and figuratively this is true.  Maybe you don’t already know that mobile home electrical systems are no different from those of site-built homes.  They use the same codes and the same parts.  Perhaps the nicest thing about these similarities is that it can help you locate wires and troubleshoot problems.

Here are some of the top mobile home electrical problem-

1.  A loose outlet cover
2.  An outlet that does not have power
3.  Incorrect bulb wattage
4.  Exposed wires
5.  Power surges

Attention mobile homeowners…do not take your electrical problems lightly!  They can cause the same concern and danger as brick and mortar homes.  Please think carefully and call (505) 864-3980.  That’s the number of Daylight Electric and Appliance out of Belen, NM.  Daylight Electric is a certified mobile home electrician in the Albuquerque area.

We All Know How Dangerous it can Be.

Carbon monoxide…the hidden killer, that is!  Carbon monoxide is deadly because it’s so hard to detect without a carbon monoxide sensor.  Once it passes into your lungs, it binds with your red blood cells and starves your body of oxygen.  Does that sound ominous enough to insist on having your Belen area home tested for it?

What symptoms are you expecting with carbon monoxide poisoning?  Common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include intense headache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, and weakness of the joints.  Disorientation and unconsciousness can even occur when CO2 reaches levels of 150 parts per million.

If you suspect this silent killer in your home contact Daylight Electric and Appliance ASAP!  They are a professional carbon dioxide testing company in the Albuquerque area out of Belen New Mexico.  Do not trifle with CO2…call Daylight Electric and Appliance immediately to run a test at (505) 864-3980.

Who Wants to get a Head Start on Summer?

I suppose a little more spring around the Albuquerque area would be nice, but we don’t always have that luxury.  Before you know it, the day will come where it is positively uncomfortable in your Belen home if your air conditioning system is not working properly.  Of course you can wait for that fateful day, or get a head start on your a/c system.

Here are some terms with which you should be familiar –

1.  The compressor.  It changes low pressure refrigerant to high pressure.
2.  The condenser.  It changes gas to liquid.
3.  Evaporator.  Liquid refrigerant is changed to a gas.
4.  Filter.  It removes foreign substances from the refrigerant.

Check, check, and check.  Everything about your home’s air conditioning system should be checked before your family swelters on a hot day sooner than later.  The right place to call in Belen and the greater Albuquerque area for a complete home air conditioning check-up is  Daylight Electric and Appliance.  Call them before it gets busy at (505) 864-3980.

Staying Wired.

With respect to the late John Belushi this pertains to your Albuquerque area home and its wiring.  Is it safe?  Outdated, damaged or otherwise poorly installed and maintained wiring is not something to take lightly.  There are hundreds of thousands of residential electrical fires nationwide each year.

Here are some preventative procedures –

1.  Watch for frequently tripping circuit breakers.
2.  Look for flickering and dimming lights.
3.  Observe discoloration around the outlets.
4.  You smell burning odors.

Do not hesitate another minute!  If you live in Belen or the greater Albuquerque area call Daylight Electric and Appliance right away.  Justin and his people will come to your home and help you prevent potential disaster by inspecting and properly repairing your faulty wiring.  That’s Daylight Electric and Appliance at (505) 864-3980.

Just Set it Up and Forget About it…Right?

Not when it comes to your home’s water heater.  Water heaters are a much needed and often neglected appliance in today’s Albuquerque area home.  In your home, there are so many uses such as cooking, bathing, cleaning and space heating.  You know all of that, but what you may not know is how often your water heater should be inspected.

It should be mandatory to keep a regular maintenance schedule.  The first check should center around observing the plumbing joints for excessive or unusual corrosion.  This check applies to gas-powered heaters.  All the gas supply parts as well as the water heater should be checked for any flammable material surrounding these parts.

Then there are things such as draining it for sediment build-up and replacing the anode rod every couple of years.  See, there is a lot more to keeping your water heater working at its peak efficiency.  People around Albuquerque have trusted Daylight Electric and Appliance of Belen for water heater repair, replacement, and maintenance.  Keep this number handy (505) 864-3980.

So, You Own a Commercial Building? Lucky you!

You have come to know that carries with it a great deal of responsibility.  Not the least of which is knowing when rewiring is needed long before it actually is.  Do-it-yourself instructional manuals and videos about keeping your building’s electrical works in good condition abound, but nothing beats an expert licensed electrician’s skills when it comes to commercial buildings!

Here are some of the common electrical problems in commercial buildings –

1.  Burnt out bulbs…sounds simple, but a pro will look for a loose circuit.
2.  Flickering lights…that’s not a good look for any business.
3.  Tripping breakers…ignoring this one can result in a destructive fire.
4.  Grounding problems…often caused by unbalanced branch circuits and wired feeders.
5.  Too few outlets…this is a common malady as your business grows.

Keep it simple…a plumber plumbs, a landscaper mows and trims around your property, an electrician takes care of your building’s electrical problems.  If you live in Belen, NM or anywhere in the greater Albuquerque area and you own a commercial building trust Daylight Electric and Appliance for your commercial wiring needs.  Just call (505) 864-3980.
